Wild Child Flower Headband

I don't know about you, but I LOVE a baby girl in a headband. The bigger the bow or more detailed the headband the better. Today, I'm going to show you how I made this super cute flower headband!

SUPPLIES:

- Crocheted Flowers: Lazo on Etsy, Hobby Lobby, YHcrochet on Etsy, or search crocheted flowers on Etsy. I bought mine at a craft fair, but gathered the options above to get you started. I'd love to know if anyone has any other sources!

- Needle

- Matching thread

- Stretchy ribbon

STEP ONE:
Lay your stretchy ribbon out flat and place the flowers in the arrangement you'd like to end up with.

STEP TWO:
Thread your needle and tie a knot to keep the flower in place. I knotted the thread at least ten times each time I used a new piece of thread in order for it to not pull through the stretchy ribbon.

STEP THREE:
Start by putting the needle through the side that will touch the flowers. That way the knot won't be on the side that touches the babies head. Continue securing the flower to the headband by inserting the needle back and forth around the center of the flower, making sure to secure it by creating a slip stitch knot a couple of times around the center of the flower.

STEP FOUR:
Continue to secure each flower using the previous method. Make sure to place the flower a little closer than you liked originally when you laid the flowers out on the headband because the stretchiness will cause the flowers to separate just a bit depending on how tight you make the headband.

STEP FIVE:
Once all the flowers have been attached, measure the circumference of the little baby's noggin and cut the stretchy ribbon to the desired length. Make sure it is slightly snug and that the flowers are centered.

STEP SIX:
Fold both ends and overlap. Finish the edges with several stitches and secure the ends together so that they lay flat.

STEP SEVEN:
Cut any loose or left over threads and pop that headband on that cute baby!

Little Miss Logan is such a cutie in her Wild Flower headband! She was loving it and even threw up a peace sign in the photo above! Ha! She is such a smiley and happy baby. I love when I get to babysit her! Definitely gives me baby fever! #ovariesonfire

Happy Wild Flower Wednesday!!
