Today I am so so so excited to share with you all the first Galentine's Day I've ever hosted and have a fun surprise for my readers at the end of the post!
With two weddings, honeymoons, Thanksgiving, and Christmas over the past couple of months my girls and I weren't able to get together for our annual Christmas brunch. Sometimes with crazy schedules you just have to throw your hands up and make it work at a later date.
So after everything had settled down post New Years I knew I had to make our first ever Galentine's Day brunch happen! I love the concept of Galentine's Day. Showering my girlfriends with love is one of my favorite things to do.
I kept it pretty small because I really wanted to use my dining room table. It is tiny, but has a big history behind it. It is over a 100 years old and was given to my great great grandmother as a wedding gift so it has a lot of love already packed into it! I adore pieces with history and love that I'll be able to pass it along to my children with not only my great great grandmother's memories attached to it, but my memories as well!
We went for a pink tone on tone theme and the ribbon on these cute little packages from The Clothing Bar matched perfectly! Giving gifts makes me giddy! I love putting thought into what will make another person's face light up!
The Clothing Bar ladies can definitely help you pick out the perfect present for your Galentine, help your hubbies/boyfriend treat you to a Valentine's Day present, AND even has some adorable Mommy & Me outfits perfect for your little girl! Below is just a tiny bit of the beauties they have in store! Did I mention they GIFT WRAP?! So cute!
Sissy penned our names beautifully on little tags that we attached to the gifts as place cards! Super easy and such a cute way to display a little treat for your gals! Pretty + Functional = WIN!
I kept it to the brunch basics for the spread as I am not considerably gifted in the "cooking" department. Mini pancakes, hash browns and ALL the bacon :) Blueberry muffins and berry granola yogurt parfaits were a sweet added touch! Also per T's request I did not subject my friends to what I like to call my "healthy pancakes" (if there even is such a thing) because well the whole wheat flour isn't that much healthier in the long run and if you ask him... they taste absolutely TERRIBLE! Haha
Now for those cute little gifts in the pretty packages...
Tassel earrings! I have a pair of pink tassel earrings and a pair of white and they are my absolute go to! They are super light so you can wear them all day, and I cannot wait to pair them with all my summer dresses! We are hopefully going to the beach this summer and I know I won't leave home without them!
These girls and this pup make my heart explode! Not pictured is my sweet Sissy who volunteered to photograph. Without her I could not do half of the shenanigans that get dreamed up over here. Also dearly missed our Chlo (She has an awesome blog you gotta check out!) who couldn't make it, but that just means we will have to do it again soon!
Couldn't write this post without a photo op with my best puppy Galentine... Evie Bee!
